About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be willing to use basic hand tools. Willing to further education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training. Any applicant meeting minimum requirements may be contacted for an interview. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. Requirements

  • Basic mechanical or maintenance skills
  • Knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, welding
  • Able to read & understand assignments
  • Able to communicate orally & in writing
  • Willing to hear/respond to two-way radio
  • Willing to lift 50 pounds
  • Willing to climb stairs 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet
  • Willing to stand for long periods of time
  • Willing to withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors
  • Willing to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment
  • Minimum of (1) year of mechanical work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 1 year.)
