About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the apartment community while providing exceptional service to our residents. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete maintenance requests efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of: HVAC systems, Plumbing, Electrical systems, Appliance repair, Carpentry, Drywall and painting.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
  • EPA Universal or Type II Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • HVAC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, drywall repair, appliance installation, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, locks, and lighting fixtures.
  • Maintain the property's common areas, amenities, grounds, and building exteriors.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by communicating professionally with residents and team members.
