About The Position

The Maintenance Tech Evaluates a variety of functions in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the physical plant, grounds, and equipment. Supports, facilitates, and participates in the elder-focused social model of care.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License.
Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to use hand and power tools.
Demonstrate a safety-conscious attitude.
Comfortable using Microsoft office suite including word, email, mobile communication devices, and various internet applications.

Responsibilities

Evaluates a variety of functions in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the physical plant, grounds, and equipment.
Supports, facilitates, and participates in the elder-focused social model of care.
Maintain, repair and replace existing utility systems.
Write up material specifications for projects.
Work on ladders at various heights.
Operate large vehicles, tractors, plows, and various lawn equipment.
Work with limited supervision to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
Handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
Work in a variety of environments, including office settings, classrooms, laboratories, mechanical rooms, service tunnels, and outside areas.
Operate in a shared leadership environment and collaborative team environment, including mentoring and sharing knowledge with co-workers and contracted services.
Respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
Test and pass safety competencies and uphold safety procedures consistently.
