Supports the Maintenance department in mechanical inspections, overhauls, maintenance upkeep and preventative maintenance tasks to support the business goals and objectives. This role involves performing all assigned preventative work order tasks safely and in a timely manner, following all maintenance policies and procedures to meet department expectations utilizing maintenance excellence best practices. The position requires completing work entries in the CMMS system with all data fields completed as work is performed, and performing emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production operations. Technical skills include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines. Responsibilities also include diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and adjusting machines, and documenting all machine malfunctions on work orders. Regular visual inspections of machinery and equipment are necessary, along with detecting faulty operations and documenting findings. Adherence to safety policies and procedures, including lock-out-tag-out, hot work permits, working from heights, and confined spaces, is crucial. The role also involves following maintenance storeroom policies and procedures to maintain inventory levels and meeting a minimum of 65% work order versus paid hours metric. This position has the responsibility of meeting all food safety requirements and requires willingness to work alternating shifts, including nights and weekends. Upholding and participating in Corporate Responsibility programming, including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities, is also part of the role.
