About The Position

Moosehaven is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality maintenance services to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The technician will perform a wide range of skilled maintenance duties, including inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and campus support systems. This position requires accountability, initiative, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership and pride in workmanship.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Florida driver's license required
  • Dependable
  • Likes to work with people
  • Comfortable using the computer

  • Inspect, test, and maintain facility equipment and components according to preventive maintenance schedules and documentation requirements.
  • Perform service and repairs to campus support systems, including tube and linen chute systems.
  • Maintain, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including fans, motors, thermostats, dampers, filters, and controls.
  • Perform routine electrical maintenance, including re-lamping, ballast replacement, wiring, switches, and circuit modifications.
  • Perform plumbing maintenance for potable and sanitary water systems and fixtures.
  • Perform basic carpentry work, including ceiling tile replacement, fixture mounting, and picture hanging.
  • Perform wall and floor repairs, including patching, painting, tile replacement, and finishing work.
  • Complete required documentation for work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Adapt to changing duties and support all departments and off-site facilities as needed.
