The Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating all OEM equipment PM service work and internal breakdowns to include addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns and ensuring all equipment and machines are in good working order. This role operates on the 2nd Shift with hours from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed. The technician ensures the facility and operational equipment runs smoothly by completing preventive maintenance, working with OEM manufacturers on production equipment such as lasers, plasma/flame, press brakes, CNC Mills, and fork trucks up to 45,000# capacity. They will locate and address mechanical issues, perform facility maintenance, and manage outside contractors. This role involves controlling downtime by informing the production scheduler of maintenance activities, fabricating repair parts, and maintaining a spare parts inventory. The technician will work with OEM manufacturers to troubleshoot breakdowns, document all work orders in company maintenance software, and stay current with technical knowledge through workshops and networking. A safe and clean working environment is maintained by complying with procedures, and the role contributes to team efforts.
