About The Position

This role involves working with little to no supervision to maintain and repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers. The position requires troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as performing building maintenance including minor plumbing and welding. The technician will also be responsible for repairing electrical issues, utilizing a CMMS system for logging labor and parts, and adhering to quality, PPE, and safety procedures. Overtime, including weekends and off-shifts, may be required, and participation in an on-call program is expected.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred
Ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing
PLC experience preferred
Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred
Experience in high speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred

Responsibilities

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers
Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise
Familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations
Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required
Must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program
Understands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
