IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at three of our apartment communities (283 units total) located in Oxnard, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines
• Facilities maintenance experience
• At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community
• Customer service oriented
• Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday
• Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and Reginal support
• Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ
• Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
• Sweep the dumpster areas
• Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas
• Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
• Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect
• Ad-hoc assignments as needed
