About The Position

We are seeking a skilled, well organized, dependable Maintenance Technicians for a full time position in our Blacksburg and Radford locations. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring resident service requests are completed timely and call backs are minimal, preventative maintenance is completed throughout the year, oversee the turn process when residents move out, and maintain an excellent rapport with residents and office staff. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC, a great attitude, willingness to go above and beyond, and the ability to work overtime and go on-call. The Maintenance Technician must be aware of the condition of physical property throughout the community and immediately correct and/or report unsafe conditions. Schedules and performs minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis.

Requirements

Solid background in plumbing
Solid background in electrical
Solid background in carpentry
Solid background in HVAC
Great attitude
Willingness to go above and beyond
Ability to work overtime
Ability to go on-call
At least 2 years’ experience in Residential Maintenance
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in apartment maintenance
