About The Position

The Maintenance technician is responsible for carpentry, painting, event set up and take downs, miscellaneous minor electrical work and minor plumbing repairs; ensuring all building property is properly maintained; furniture moving, arrangement, placement of equipment, etc.; carrying out frequent checks of all areas, reporting any faults using the correct procedure; ensuring the safe, correct and economical use of equipment and cleaning materials. Performing other maintenance duties, as needed. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

Requirements

Carpentry skills
Painting skills
Minor electrical work skills
Minor plumbing repair skills
Ability to move, arrange, and place equipment
Ability to perform frequent checks of all areas
Ability to report faults using the correct procedure
Ability to use equipment and cleaning materials safely, correctly, and economically
Ability to perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting
