About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Tech to perform predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including installation work on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and systems within the plant and building. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment Required
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Required
  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property; responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
  • Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments
  • Use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc. to find and determine source of power and gas issues using voltmeter or gauges
  • Read and understand blueprints and wiring schematics to install and work on electrical components
  • Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
  • Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
  • Maintain a constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention; able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested
