The Maintenance Tech is responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). This role ensures food quality and food safety standards are met and reports any issues with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to initiate corrective actions. The position involves performing repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers, as well as troubleshooting machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic). The Maintenance Tech will also maintain all production supporting equipment, including glycol systems, RO systems, compressed air systems, lubrication systems, and chemical distribution systems. Innovative thinking is required to minimize production downtime and ensure food safety, product quality, and personnel safety. Responsibilities include completing and documenting work orders, recording part numbers for inventory, communicating effectively between shifts, assisting in training other maintenance personnel, and communicating with production during downtime. Collaboration with adjacent teams is essential for rapid issue resolution and driving improvement.
