About The Position

Golden Peanut in Blakley GA is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech that is willing to grow and advance with the company. This is a full-time, hourly W2 position with immediate openings. The schedule is primarily Day Shift with an on-call rotation, requiring the ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, or different shifts when on call.

Requirements

  • 1 year minimum of industrial maintenance experience
  • 1 year welding experience
  • Current valid driver’s license required
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including but not limited to prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime if needed.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • The ability to lift 50lbs
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • That you are at least 18 years of age or older
  • That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)
  • Mechanical Aptitude is required
  • The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders

Nice To Haves

  • Previous welding, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 3-phase electrical.
  • Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by management and to take such courses on a continuing basis as required.
  • A positive attitude and team mindset
  • A desire to learn various operations and grow with the company
  • Focus on Safety- Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedure and use of PPE
  • Experience with operating a forklift is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and pneumatic systems
  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain mechanical drive systems
  • Install material systems
  • Fabrication
  • Other duties and task as assigned
