About The Position

Maintains all equipment and facilities. Performing all PM checks and procedures as scheduled. Assist with set up and change over’s. Must adhere to all Multimatic New Haven Safety practices, policies & procedures. Responsible for completing and turning in all maintenance related documentation including but not limited to daily log sheets for TPM’s and all required Control Plans and Downtime logs. Coordinate with other resources (Supervisors/Managers) time, material and equipment required to perform necessary work as needed. Must be self-driven; with minimal supervision. Have or acquire all hands tools to perform the job.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field and/or other related formal course work or equivalent years of experience in this or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical & welding
  • Excellent trouble-shooting/problem solving skills & experience
  • Ability to read and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and seal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools or controls; reach and lift with hands and arms; talk, see and hear.
  • Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Required to rotate their torso and view behind them to operate required equipment.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks.
  • Must be available during off hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.
  • Must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Machine diagnostics/trouble-shooting & repair
  • Machine installation & set up procedures
  • Perform welding & fabrication as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) procedures related to all manufacturing equipment
  • Perform all facility related repairs and/or project work as assigned
  • Completing and turning in all maintenance related documentation including but not limited to daily log sheets for TPM’s and all required Control Plans and Downtime logs
  • Coordinate with other resources (Supervisors/Managers) time, material and equipment required to perform necessary work as needed
