About The Position

The goal of the Plant Operations/Maintenance Depatment is to provide a safe, comfortable, compliant physical environment. The Plant Operations/Maintenance department performs routine repair and maintenance and renders services essential to hospital, office buildings and off-site services. Provides entry level Maintenance service and responds to service calls throughout the healthcare facility. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems. Calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Completes preventative maintenance duties on schedule and responds to service calls throughout the facility.
• Assists mechanics and completes minor repairs under the direction of the lead or the supervisor.
• Uses personal protective equipment and handles hazardous materials and waste in accordance with safety, infection control and universal standard precautions procedures.
