About The Position

Golden Peanut in Ashburn GA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech that is reliable and wants to build a lasting career. This is a full-time, hourly W2 position with immediate openings. The schedule is typically 7:00 am until released, usually around 3:00 pm, with overtime, weekends, and on-call duties as needed. The pay ranges from $25.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • A positive attitude and team mindset.

  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedures and use of PPE.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed, including weekends.
  • Maintains excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until shift ends).
  • Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise.
  • Mechanical Aptitude is a must.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders.
  • Must include updated resume or work history in application.
  • Requires ankle supporting height (no tennis shoes) steel toe boots.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a factory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.
  • Minimizes unscheduled losses and improves reliability.
  • Works on call schedule.
  • Maintains good communication with all plant personnel (other shifts, departments, and managers).
  • Inspects and identifies equipment and machines that need repair.
  • Troubleshoots and makes necessary repairs to processing equipment including elevators, augers, shafts, bearings, and reducers.
  • Uses various mechanical tools.
  • Welds and uses fabrication tools.
  • Understands and performs assigned job tasks easily and independently while being flexible enough to work in team settings.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
  • Conducts daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.
  • Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility.
  • Maintains documentation required to perform job duties.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
