About The Position

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is hiring a Maintenance Tech to join its Maintenance Team. The role is based at the campus-wide 320-acre community in Franklin, Indiana, adjacent to Indianapolis. The position performs maintenance and preventative maintenance, supports campus grounds and snow removal, helps maintain fire safety equipment, and assists with routine campus and residential tasks. It also includes handling helium and oxygen for the Medical Center and Residential areas according to established safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• General maintenance skills.
• Electrical skills.
• Plumbing skills.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC knowledge.
• Carpentry experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete work requisition requests and scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Remove snow when necessary.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director of supplies needed to complete daily job functions.
• Prioritize safety and keep records of completed work using the Maintenance Care Program.
• Report equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director.
• Perform safety checks on fire extinguishers, maintain fire detection equipment in operating order, and conduct fire drills with the In-service department.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, which may include driving, moving, participating in remodeling homes or rooms, and setting up or removing tables and chairs for functions.
• Clean the shop area and job site after completing a job or task.
• Receive and store helium and oxygen for the Medical Center and Residential areas according to established safety procedures.
• Complete other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Director.
