About The Position

This maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance and reporting documentation of the hospital in order to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. There is no remote option for this position.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in building mechanical equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and follow safety directions as required.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

• Some college education preferred
• Painting and minor maintenance work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes minor mechanical, electrical and plumbing and painting repairs as requested
• Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
• Conducts scheduled inspections and maintenance throughout the facility.
• Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exits, fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment, and life support systems.
• Maintains all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication, etc.) in a safe operating condition
• Must be able to work day shift (8:00A – 5:00P), weekends, and on-call, as scheduled.
• Remains flexible for other duties and special projects assigned.
