About The Position

The Maintenance Technician IV (Manufacturing) is an advanced skilled trades professional and the highest-level individual contributor in the Manufacturing Maintenance Technician job family. The role leads complex troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and systems, applying extensive technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Working autonomously with limited supervision, this position serves as a technical authority and escalation point for critical equipment issues that affect safety, production continuity, reliability, or asset health. The technician partners with Maintenance Engineering, Reliability, Operations, Controls, leadership, OEMs, and vendors to resolve chronic equipment issues, support major equipment initiatives, and improve maintenance practices. The position provides functional leadership through technical mentoring, coaching, training, and standard-setting, but is not a formal supervisory role. It typically reports to a Maintenance Manager, Reliability Manager, or Manufacturing Operations Leader. The role also supports equipment commissioning and upgrades, reliability and continuous-improvement initiatives, safety and compliance efforts, and accurate maintenance documentation in the CMMS. Its scope may affect reliability and safety across a site or multiple manufacturing areas.
