Maintenance Tech III
About The Position
This role is responsible for the inspection, repair, installation, and servicing of Gravel Trains, as well as stationary and mobile equipment. The position involves repairing and maintaining mobile equipment, including diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. Additionally, the role requires cutting, welding, and metal fabrication. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and correcting recurring problems, reading basic schematics and parts diagrams, and operating heavy equipment to facilitate maintenance. Adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices, including cleaning and lubrication, ordering replacement parts, and inspecting completed repairs are also key duties. The role may include other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Willing and able to work weekends or nights
Responsibilities
- Inspection, repair, installation and servicing of Gravel Trains, stationary and mobile equipment
- Repair and maintenance of mobile equipment such as: Diesel and Gasoline engine repair and maintenance, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems
- Cutting, welding, and metal fabrication
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and correction of recurring problems
- Basic schematic and parts diagram reading ability
- Operate heavy equipment to facilitate maintenance
- Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, including cleaning and lubrication of parts
- Orders replacement parts
- Inspects completed repairs
- Requisitions new parts and equipment
