About The Position

As Maintenance Technician III, you are a part of Best People. The Maintenance Technician III will work with other maintenance personnel utilizing our Best Systems to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and facility systems. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. As Maintenance Technician III, you will collaborate with team members, management, and customers to identify issues, implement timely solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You help us grow our business relationships by delivering exceptional service, maintaining a strong customer focus, and producing Best Results.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with peers, management, subordinates, customers, and corporate resources.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps, piping, air compressors, HVAC systems, fan systems, overhead hoists, cranes, dock doors, levelers, restraints, and other industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including 480-volt three-phase power and 120/24-volt control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency using maintenance planning software such as eMaint, MP2, or Maximo.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive industrial maintenance experience in union or non-union manufacturing environments involving multiple maintenance trades.
  • Professional technical training; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency using maintenance planning software packages such as eMaint, MP2 or Maximo.
  • Experience performing work safely both indoors and outdoors.
  • Experience and willingness working weekends.
  • Experience and ability to safely lift items up to 70 lbs.
  • Experience working in hot and damp environments, wearing PPE, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
