About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Tech III - 1st Shift to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As a Maintenance Tech III - 1st Shift, you will be accountable for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure reliable operations, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient bakery production. This role plays a key part in maximizing equipment performance while upholding food safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical, and/or electrical maintenance; OR 6 years of related industrial maintenance experience in lieu of a diploma.
Experience in at least three of the following areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or food manufacturing process controls.
Strong knowledge of equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately document work within maintenance systems.
Ability to meet physical job requirements, including standing, lifting, climbing, and operating maintenance equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery, or industrial production environments.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
Experience supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment to maintain operational reliability.
Perform preventive maintenance, equipment overhauls, installations, and fabrication activities to improve equipment performance.
Diagnose equipment failures and support rapid restoration of production operations.
Operate maintenance tools, lifts, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work order documentation within maintenance systems.
Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external contractors to support uninterrupted production.
