About The Position

Hydranautics, a part of the Nitto Group of companies, is a global leader in integrated membrane solutions, providing reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration for water, wastewater, and process treatment across seven continents. The Maintenance Tech III position involves performing moderately complex maintenance on operations, machinery equipment, and automation systems, including PLC programming. Responsibilities also include major building electrical, construction, and security equipment maintenance and repairs, as well as modifying, rebuilding, and installing capital equipment. Maintenance Technicians III/Leads are expected to provide leadership, schedule work, assign tasks, and train staff, and may assume Maintenance Supervisors’ duties in their absence for work instructions. This role requires working flexible, alternate shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience in an automation environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advance knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and repair methods/techniques.
  • Must understand PLC ladder logic and text-based logic programs within control systems for manufacturing equipment.
  • Intermediate to advance skills in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and/or blueprints.
  • Ability to read safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to train others in the maintenance of machines and continuous learning and application of maintenance techniques/methods.
  • Ability to prioritize work orders while meeting deadlines to minimize production downtime.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) System.

Responsibilities

  • Checks the operation of machines and trouble-shoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, equipment and automation problems.
  • Performs complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment.
  • Trouble-shoots electrical and electronic controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes.
  • Diagnoses and resolves PLC issues with articulated robots using ladder logic and text-based logic programs.
  • Modifies and rebuilds manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support.
  • Performs major building electrical, construction and security equipment maintenance and repairs. May perform machinist duties.
  • Understands and interprets electronic schematics for trouble-shooting electronic equipment with minimal assistance.
  • Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for historical and future maintenance purposes.
  • Follow safety regulations and adhering to OSHA and Cal OSHA standards. Operates Forklifts, Genie Booms and Scissor lifts.
  • Performs minor repairs on electronic circuit boards/control panels which control the automation of manufacturing equipment (Leads only).
  • Other duties as assigned.
