About The Position

The Maintenance Tech II is responsible for maintaining a safe and smoothly running physical hotel property and grounds. This role involves completing repairs and preventative maintenance on various systems including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. The position also includes performing light carpentry, painting, and vinyl/drywall repair. A key aspect of the role is implementing and monitoring programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations, such as ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention. The Maintenance Tech II will also keep detailed records and reports, provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members, collaborate with management on recruitment, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience through courteous service.

Requirements

  • Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance.
  • Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing.
  • Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods.
  • Flexibility to be available for emergency repair.
