About The Position

Otterbein is looking to add a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Technician II to our team! This role is responsible for maintaining a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for residents, families, visitors, and partners. The technician will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and will assist with preventative maintenance, resident furnishings, and painting. This position is on the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with on-call responsibilities every other weekend.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable
HVAC and electrical required

Nice To Haves

maintenance experience in a maintenance department
prior experience in a health care facility preferred

Responsibilities

Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
