About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Tech II - 3rd Shift to join our team located in Cambridge, OH. The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

3 to 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills inclusive of rebuilding equipment components
Experience with performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
Basic understanding of facility equipment in support of facility engineer.
Basic electrical troubleshooting on 480V and below.
Basic PLC troubleshooting. No programming required.
Ability to read and apply electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to pass Hands on Skills test

Responsibilities

Performing general maintenance of all equipment.
Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers.
Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve overall plant automation efforts.
Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.
