About The Position

Otterbein is adding a Full-Time Maintenance Technician II to their team, working 32 hours per week. Candidates with experience and a desire to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply. This role performs a variety of general maintenance tasks to ensure a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for residents, their families, visitors, and partners.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable.

Nice To Haves

• Maintenance experience in a maintenance department.
• Prior experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Some working knowledge of electrical and HVAC work is important.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
• Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
• Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
