About The Position

The 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician III position performs a variety of maintenance activities within the office and manufacturing environment as assigned by Maintenance Manager. Ideal Candidate: Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship Must be available to work 3rd Shift on-site daily in Hobart, Indiana including weekends/OT (9:00pm-5:30am) Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and has hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment, including lasers, press brakes, saws, and welding equipment. Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy and possess strong knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting (110V–480V). Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment, including lasers, press brakes, saws, and welding equipment
• Able to read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting (110V–480V)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of building systems
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment, such as laser, press brake, saw, welding, and press
• Knowledge of electrical wiring including high voltage (110V-480V)
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues

• Knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems
• Knowledge of electrical control systems

Nice To Haves

• 2-year certification from a trade school and/or 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs in accordance with Safety and OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements
• Accurately complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS to maintain high-quality standards
• Troubleshoots all electrical breakdowns and makes repairs
• Installs new or purchased equipment
• Supplies proper information for the acquisition of replacement parts
• Troubleshoots and repairs stationary and mobile equipment
• Trains and participates in the Emergency Evacuation Plan
• Coordinates and schedules maintenance activities with department managers
• Participates in continuous improvement projects
• Coordinates and assists in inspections of critical building systems and environmental compliance
• Calibrates testing instruments
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
• Troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop
• On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations as necessary
• Carries out all other dusties as assianed by Management
