As a Maintenance Technician I (General) team member, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance for a variety of facility machine centers, as well as simple repairs on production and building equipment and systems. You will also assist other equipment and facilities maintenance colleagues on specified projects and advanced machines maintenance with oversight. Requirements

  • Six months minimum machine maintenance, vehicle/mechanic experience, or manufacturing line maintenance experience OR a recent technical degree or certificate in a related trades field to include maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine blueprint and drawings.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic prints.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months combined minimum experience within Caterpillar Paving
  • Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance for a variety of facility machine centers.
  • Performing simple repairs on production and building equipment and systems.
  • Assisting other equipment and facilities maintenance colleagues on specified projects and advanced machines maintenance with oversight.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing work to meet production schedules.
  • Daily prioritizing and confirming work orders using electronic maintenance system.
  • Taking initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems, report discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • Working and interacting effectively in a team environment in alignment with our code of conduct and values in action.
  • Supporting team People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) initiatives and daily activities.
  • Completing projects as needed.
  • Working with limited supervision.
  • Operating equipment including forklift, man lift, maintenance truck, snowplow truck.
  • Operating overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists.
  • Corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting repairing and installing parts on machines and equipment.
  • Maintenance vehicle PM and repairs.
  • Snow removal.
  • Yard maintenance (in all weather conditions).
  • Low voltage electrical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Pipefitting.
  • General carpentry.
  • Maintenance vehicle PM and repairs.
