Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining assigned equipment with a focus on production and quality. The position involves performing routine inspections and troubleshooting of equipment, acting as an escalation point for lower-level technicians, and documenting all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems. This role also includes performing root cause analysis of major downtime events, assisting other mechanics, and undertaking facility/building project work such as electrical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs. Additionally, the Maintenance Tech I will assemble and test equipment, analyze production delays, examine defects, and take corrective actions to resolve equipment malfunctions and spoilage causes.
