About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the primary purpose of Maintenance Technician is to ensure the facility, equipment, and machinery are maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner to maximize production uptime and minimize equipment downtime. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and overall plant performance. As a member of the RS team, the Maintenance Technician, I support a culture built on Safety, Respect, Resilience, and Teamwork, while fostering accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Certification in at least one of the following areas: Millwright, Toolmaker, or Machine Tool Builder.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a Maintenance field or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Working at Heights Certificate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in building/environmental systems an asset.
  • Forklift/Lift Truck experience preferred but not required.
  • Overhead Crane Certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
  • Assist in "Error Proofing" equipment.
  • Complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks.
  • Work with Electricians to quickly and efficiently solve problems.
