Job Summary: Maintenance Technician – HVAC are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship
Valid HVAC technician license or certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician
Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems
Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
Proficiency in using industrial tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
Ability to work with low to medium voltage systems and in hazardous environments.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations.
Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including but not limited to compressor changeouts, low voltage electrical troubleshooting, condenser and/or supply fan replacement, etc.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, process air-cooled chillers, boilers, plumbing, compressed air systems, dock doors, and other ancillary nonproduction equipment.
Perform general building maintenance as required such as drywall repair, painting, supply/exhaust fans, etc.
Recommend and implement solutions to HVAC system problems
Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met
Keep accurate records of all work performed
Work with low to medium-voltage equipment, control systems, motors, and other industrial machinery.
Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other team members on facility projects.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
