About The Position

This position involves using predictive and preventive maintenance software, applications, and data collection instruments to identify potential machine problems. The role includes collecting lubrication samples, performing visual inspections of machinery, calculating forcing frequencies for vibration analysis, and managing local predictive maintenance software databases. The technician will perform routine on-route data collection, transfer data between instruments and computers, plan predictive maintenance routes, and prepare routine reports. Responsibilities also include maintaining and verifying physical test points and their identification on predictive maintenance routes. The individual must uphold company ethics, promote teamwork, use synergy between work groups, ensure compliance with jobsite procedures, and perform Stop Work Authority when necessary. They will assist team members, foster client relationships, and contribute to operational objectives by providing recommendations for strategic plans, implementing standards, and resolving problems. The role requires following established safety and regulations, maintaining a clean work area, identifying and correcting safety hazards, reading and understanding equipment schematic drawings, plans, and specifications, producing quality work that meets industry standards, monitoring work progression, and performing other duties as requested by a supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Must have experience in the craft
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Communication Skills – Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then can perform the task or project discussed.
Ability to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.
Ability to perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, reach with arms, ascend/descend stairs, ladders, fixed ladders, walkways, walk, stand, stoop for long periods of time, enter tight congested areas to include awkward positions, sit, climb, balance.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. single person – 80 lbs. two persons.
Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.
Ability to work over 6 feet above the ground; must not be afraid of heights.
Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks.
Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, and varying types of smells.
Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, elevated work areas, and outside weather conditions.
Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

Uses predictive and preventive maintenance software, applications, and data collection instruments to identify machines with possible problems.

Performs routine on-route operation of predictive and preventive maintenance data collection instruments.
Transfers predictive and preventive data between data collection instruments and host computer.
Plans and builds routes for predictive maintenance data collection.
Prepares and prints predetermined routine reports from machine condition assessment software.
Maintains and verifies physical test points and test point identification on predictive maintenance routes.
Upholds B&R Business Ethics and Code of Conduct.
