The position requires troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic machinery, electric motors, and conveyors. Responsibilities may extend to plumbing, metalworking, mechanics, and electricity. A key aspect of the role is controlling downtime through routine preventive maintenance and collaborating with operators to ensure machines run at peak performance while adhering to the highest safety standards. The role also involves maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs, as well as managing equipment, parts, and supplies inventory. Collaboration with other maintenance mechanics is essential for anticipating equipment, parts, and supply needs. The position requires an active role in overall plant and facilities-related work, performing root cause failure analysis to prevent recurring maintenance issues, and adhering to all company safety rules and 5S standards for shop and equipment maintenance.
