Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a skilled trade, building maintenance, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools, ladders, and personnel lifts safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance manuals, work orders, and operating instructions.
  • Current Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in areas such as attics, mechanical spaces, or other maintenance environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, apartment maintenance, or commercial facilities.
  • Experience with multiple building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.
  • Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the campus, including resident apartments and common areas.
  • Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and medium-duty electrical repairs to maintain safe, functional, and attractive facilities.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain building systems and equipment while responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and help maintain the overall appearance and safety of the property.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and vendors to resolve maintenance concerns while providing excellent customer service.
  • Follow all safety procedures, use proper PPE, maintain accurate maintenance records, and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.
