About The Position
The Tech I position is normally assigned to a Production Shift to ensure the smooth efficient operation of the extrusion lines and all other mechanical mechanisms within the plant. Techs are to wear all PPE for protection against safety hazards.
Requirements
- Ability to read a depth gauge, calipers, micrometers, and tape measure for basic machining and fabricating.
- Ability to read ohms, amps, and volts
- Basic AC/DC motor knowledge, wiring and troubleshooting
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of experience, training, or education on any of the above is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to fabricate using electric arc, welder and cutting torch.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems with ability to troubleshoot and repair.
- Knowledge of drill press, grinders and band saws/ basic knowledge of troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic equipment such as valves cylinders, and pumps.
- Basic knowledge of bearings, shafts, pulleys, reduction, and distribution gearboxes, transmissions, etc.
- Understand NEMA codes.
- Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
