About The Position
We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Maintenance Technician 1 and 2 to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician 1 or 2, you will be a vital part of our operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our equipment and facilities. If you have a keen eye for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and thrive in a dynamic maintenance environment, we encourage you to apply. Our Maintenance Technicians work a 40 hour work week, working 4 – 10’s. Early AM and Early PM start times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Additional technical certifications preferred)
- Has minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting or equivalent.
- Has strong mechanical aptitude.
- Has a strong working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles.
- Has a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
- Understands basic hand tool functions.
- Has a great team focused attitude.
- Is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Is physically able to perform the duties of the job.
- Is able to operate support equipment (i.e. Forklifts, Scissor Lifts)
- Has strong communication skills.
- Is willing to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventative maintenance procedures and tasks on equipment.
- Utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Work with other departments to ensure overall equipment effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with other maintenance technicians and relevant departments to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and provide technical support when needed.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to enhance their technical skills and ensure the effective transfer of knowledge within the team.
