About The Position

Commercial Properties Limited has been developing and managing properties in Eastern Canada for over fifty years. We offer high quality premises and property development expertise for professional and business offices, retail, commercial and industrial enterprises. We are recruiting for a Maintenance Team member in Saint John. This position will be responsible for carrying out facilities maintenance duties.

Requirements

Experience in facilities maintenance
Ability to manage contractors
Working knowledge of Building Systems coupled with hands-on experience
Positive attitude with a focus on customer service
A valid driver’s license
3 to 5 years’ experience in facility management or building maintenance.
High school diploma plus trades training, certification, or licensing.
Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and good work ethic.
Interact well with other team members.
Mechanically inclined and be adept at equipment repair and troubleshooting.
Comfortable with heights and ladder work.
Health and safety focus.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.
Ensure work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
Participate in and assist with facility-related projects.
Oversee Contractor activities.
Building System start-up (including HVAC systems, boilers, chillers).
General maintenance and repairs.
Preventative maintenance activities on building systems (including building inspections, belts, filters,).
Navigate HVAC building controls (Delta Controls and Automated Logic).
Perform regular facility mechanical and electrical systems monitoring and inspection including preventative and corrective maintenance.
Snow removal when required.
