About The Position

A top priority at WAC is to make sure that our facilities run efficiently and effectively at all times. As a Maintenance Team Member, you are the key to ensuring that all machines and facility components operate at the highest standards. You are responsible for some daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing ceiling fans/vents and cleaning restrooms/wet areas. This is not a behind the scenes position – you are on the front-line having fun and connecting with the Team Members, club members and guests. You make relationships with members and guests that you see every day while fixing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute hourly walk-throughs of the facility, inside and outside, to ensure proper conditions.
  • Be visible and interact regularly with members.
  • Ensure that everything in the facility is operational.
  • Prioritize an ongoing to-do list and communicate with Maintenance Team Lead regularly.
  • Maintain stock of regularly utilized spare parts for broken equipment and preventive maintenance.
  • Communicate with outside maintenance vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Follow maintenance-specific preventative responsibilities from the corporate annual planning guide.
  • Attend Maintenance meetings as scheduled by management.
  • Check in daily with Maintenance Team Lead or Service Manager.
  • Team Catch Team Members doing things right and hand out WAC Bucks.
  • Pursue ongoing personal and professional development and share what you learn with others.
  • Follow all WAC and Maintenance department Team Member policies and procedures.
  • Participate in 90-day and ongoing Team Member evaluations.
  • Maintain scheduled hours and inform Maintenance Team Lead of scheduling changes or requests.
  • Be a team player; strive to help out whenever and wherever possible.
  • Know the Safety Plan and Emergency Action Plan.
  • Regularly inspect all areas of the club to ensure safe conditions for our members and guests.
  • Report all structural problems, inside and outside, to management.
  • Follow all insurance, liability and incident report procedures.
  • Be fiscally responsible; gather multiple bids/quotes and management approval before purchases.
  • Clock in and out during your scheduled shifts to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Responsible for inventory control of spare parts and equipment.
  • Maintain the facility at the highest possible level to allow us to grow our company revenue.
  • Up-serve or recommend additional services of interest to our members at point-of-sale.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of special events.
  • Support programming department with room setup and equipment maintenance when necessary.
  • Sign up for upcoming programs, activities and events to increase product knowledge.
  • Follow up with all member maintenance-specific suggestions and complaints.
  • Welcome and connect with new members and guests.
  • Be personally committed to fitness by actively going through the retention program sessions.
