About The Position

The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facilities. Work scope includes planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance repair.

Requirements

  • 3 years job related experience maintaining & repairing industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance guidelines and programs
  • Knowledge of OSHA machine regulations and recommendations
  • Understanding of Electrical circuits and Schematics
  • Experience with machine operation and programming systems
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • General computer skills required
  • A positive team attitude
  • SAP

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Technology or comparable background of work related experience in a Maintenance related discipline preferred
  • Tier-1 Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Cross Cultural Experience is preferred

  • Identify and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and utilizes appropriate measuring and test equipment.
  • Bring production back on line quickly through rapid analysis and repair
  • Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and processes.
  • Remove defective parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes as needed.
  • Assist with installation and operation of new equipment to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance of plant equipment and facility utilities.
  • Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment according to OSHA standards.
