About The Position

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician III– 2nd shift to maintain, adjust and repair plant machinery to industry standards while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, food safety and regulatory requirements. This role involves repairing down equipment in a fast-paced, time-critical environment, executing assigned work orders, and performing advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving on damaged, degraded, or downed equipment. The technician will also perform industrial three-phase electrical troubleshooting and repair, utilize multimeter tools, and complete Root Cause Analysis following unplanned failures. Continuous improvement concepts are expected in all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance. The role requires maintaining accurate records of repair time, actions, and parts using maintenance management software, recommending equipment modifications for improved process, productivity, reliability, and quality, and providing feedback on job plans and preventive maintenance procedures. Additionally, the technician will train and coach associates on equipment details, technical duties, and maintenance skills, recognizing production as the customer and striving to meet the requirements of all plant functions requesting Maintenance support. Utilization of mechanical and electrical prints, equipment manuals, and procedures is essential for effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), a 2-year trade school certificate and 5 or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance/automotive mechanic/industrial equipment service role. Or equivalent combination of experience and qualifications.
  • Computer proficiency with basic data entry skills.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use maintenance management software.
  • Basic understanding of all, and demonstrated expertise in at least 8 of the following skill areas: Welding and Fabrication, Industrial electrician skills, Industrial controls, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Print reading and drawing, Machining, Precision maintenance and measurement, Predictive maintenance tools and methods, Lubrication technician skills.
  • Training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
  • Training on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • A professional Maintenance Technician certification is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification. Certificate is current, up to date.

Responsibilities
