About The Position

This role provides support to the maintenance department, focusing on painting and related tasks. The position involves understanding and adhering to safety procedures, assisting with various projects, and performing general maintenance duties. The individual will operate equipment, respond to emergencies, and maintain supplies. A key aspect of the role is performing industrial painting on production equipment, ceilings, walls, and floors, as well as preparing concrete floors and applying epoxy coatings. The role also includes covering the stockroom during absences.

Requirements

High School education or equivalent or One (1) year at TA/Tennessee Company.
Be able to lift 50 pounds multiple times a day as needed.
Must be able to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, writing IWIs and Coaching.
Support large and small painting, floor coating, and lubrication projects by working within a team environment to achieve the department’s goals.
Support all departments by performing odd jobs, including but not limited to, hanging tarps for roof leaks, checking roof drains, installing ceiling tiles, and applying ice melt to walkways during the winter, etc.
Safely operate a forklift, scissor lift and boom lift.
Respond to emergencies within a timely manner.
Must have basic computer skills to source out supplies.
Will be required to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed.
Must be able to complete training required by TATN.
Complete daily assignments within a timely manner.
Communicate and promote a positive environment for customers and team members.
Perform industrial painting on production equipment, ceiling, walls, and floors.
Prepare concrete floors with grinding equipment and apply epoxy floor coatings.
Maintain proper level of paint and painting supplies, and re-order those supplies as needed.
Supply coverage for the stockroom during breaks, lunches, and while the stockroom attendant is on vacation.
