About The Position

Responsible for managing or performing skilled trades and lower level apprentice craftwork for construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, buildings, and equipment. This position will oversee the maintenance of all facility components of the operation. The primary responsibility will be to control costs while providing the best possible maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and employee safety.

Requirements

High school diploma plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse equipment and refrigeration maintenance
Must be able to effectively communicate (including reading, writing, and speaking) in English.
Must have a working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
Frequent standing and bending are required when checking and repairing equipment and addressing building needs.
You must have the ability to communicate clearly, primarily via telephone, with vendors, manufacturers, customers, and Company personnel.
You must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without correction
Must be able to perform manual tasks, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Manage building maintenance for both the operations and office areas.
Follow-up on all warranty issues and lease issues through distribution services and the manufacturers.
Oversee all building maintenance projects, upgrades, repairs, additions, and all material handling equipment monitoring and control.
Manage the day to day performance of third-party contract maintenance providers for warehouse equipment and for building maintenance.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure their departmental needs are met.
Manage all personnel in the sanitation/maintenance department including hiring, handling personnel issues, reviewing performance, conducting training and coaching sessions, and termination if necessary as applicable.
