About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor position requires an individual who has demonstrated success in a fast-paced medium to heavy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include the safe direction of a small group of multi-trade employees that perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair, and install new equipment. This is a 'hands-on' position and requires technical expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), electrical, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and hydraulics. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • PLC Experience
  • Multi-trade experience
  • Demonstrated Training/Coaching
  • 5 Years of experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3--6-month time span
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Employee training
  • Technical skills in Maintenance processes and methods
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High performance teams and a strong collaborator

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a group of multi-trade maintenance employees
  • Provides technical direction to Maintenance Team to ensure that equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
  • Analyzes equipment or machinery data (failures) and preventative maintenance program and takes corrective action.
  • Provides technical training to management and Multi-Trade team members.
  • Reviews electrical/maintenance schematics to As-Built Equipment, verifying safety systems.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Must be able to improve Maintenance processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Must prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of Multi-Trade team members.
  • Must be able to assist Maintenance Manager in improving the Maintenance Inventory System, including cost controls
  • Lead or participate on committees/teams as directed by Maintenance Manager
