About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising and delegating work to the Maintenance group, ensuring the facility complies with safety regulations, and maintaining clean work areas. The role involves managing the maintenance budget, setting department working hours, and tracking electronic records for all maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring ISO compliance, performing emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of production machines and plant equipment. This includes diagnosing problems, repairing parts, and testing equipment. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing Allen Bradley products, programming PLCs and touch screens, and managing electrical components and wiring. Additionally, the position involves performing preventive maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, machinist duties, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs. The supervisor must be available for emergency call-backs and willing to learn new skills.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
1st class Hydronic License required.
Ability to read, write legibly, and speak English.
Must have a good work ethic.
History of excellent attendance record.
Computer skills are required.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to communicate and work well with others.

Responsibilities

Directly responsible for supervising and delegating work to the Maintenance group.
Ensure the facility is in compliance with all safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
Review maintenance budget and work with Plant Manager in determining fixed asset needs.
Set working hours for the department and obtain approval through Plant Manager.
Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facilities.
Ensure all processes, procedures, and documentation are ISO-compliant.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Accept responsibility for all aspects of the installation and maintenance of production machines and all of the plant’s equipment.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust equipment as needed.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Detect faulty operations, and defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisors or maintenance personnel.
Troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley products and program A & B PLC., and program IDEC touch screens.
Responsible for the planning, installation, and repairs of all electrical components and associated wiring including low-voltage systems installation and maintenance.
Maintain complicated electrical and electronic systems and equipment used in various processes including but not limited to electrical AC/DC, electrical/air control, air and plumbing, water/honey pumps.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
Be available for Emergency call-back.
Be willing to learn additional skills as necessary to oversee the maintenance of the production facility.
Perform all other duties needed or assigned by Plant Manager and/or Assistant Plant Manager.
