• College degree preferred
• Technical/Trade School certificate, preferably in facility maintenance or related areas; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
• Experience with modern powered conveyor systems, fork truck equipment, and computer-based maintenance systems
• Proficient in electro mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC controllers, welding and associated mechanic skills
• Minimum of 3 years of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience with mechanical and industrial skills
• Ability and flexibility to work alternate shifts if required
• Ability to take initiative to correct issues without direction, offer solutions to problems and support a team effort
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong sense of urgency to meet established deadlines
• Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds continuously throughout the working shift
• Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time
• Must be able to operate fixed and motorized material handling equipment
• Must be able to adequately assess surroundings and be aware of moving equipment
• Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature changes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and execute maintenance as well as support activities 24/7 by assisting company site
• Ensure to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment
• Ensure to keep cleanliness of shop and storage areas
• Conduct proper follow-through on all maintenance issues
• Ensure to deal with maintenance issues in timely way working with maintenance staff
• Plan maintenance employees’ schedules as per forecasted workloads
• Ensures compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies
• Ensure maintenance personnel wears and utilizes all safety equipment correctly as needed
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled and complete accurately as required
• Establish priorities, goals and expectations to prepare action strategies working with team
• Perform a variety of tasks related to the repair, preventive maintenance and improved performance of Distribution Center equipment and hardware
• Perform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs, modifications or preventive maintenance on variety of conveyor systems and powered material handling equipment
• Perform building maintenance repair to various systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and other facility related equipment
• Observe and/or test the adjustments, repairs or modifications to all Distribution Center equipment to ensure its safe operation
• Maintain work orders, PMs and inventory tracking via spreadsheets, data bases or maintenance software
