About The Position

This role is for a Maintenance Supervisor, a member of the Maintenance Planning and Execution Team. The primary focus is on overseeing the maintenance of equipment in all mills/facilities, with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance. The supervisor will build relationships with direct reports, remove barriers to their success, and coach them towards company goals. Key responsibilities include creating and reinforcing clear workplace expectations, providing follow-up coaching for continuous performance improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency, utilizing Leadership Interpersonal Skills Training (LIST) and Behavioral Management Techniques (BMT).

Requirements

  • Strong supervisory experience; industrial or production type setting.
  • Relationship building experience.
  • High School/GED.
  • Leadership training.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Arts or Science.
  • Behavioral Management Leadership Techniques experience.

Responsibilities

  • Hold regular, daily conversations to fully engage employees on safety, quality and productivity while conducting mill walk-arounds, observations and monitoring.
  • Be present and visible to assist crew members with troubleshooting machine issues and providing appropriate tools, parts and other resources.
  • Provide regular, ongoing feedback to employees regarding their work performance using Revere safety, quality, productivity, and attendance data.
  • Take ownership of workplace issues and challenges regarding your direct reports and communicate with others as needed to address and resolve.
  • Ensure effective shift-to-shift communications for safety, equipment status, staffing and end of shift report out.
  • Uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement; Follow and apply all workplace policies and Human Resource procedures; Consult HR on issues as needed.
  • At times the supervisor will be required to perform hands on tasks to further the safety and quality of the process.
  • Work with vendors when needed.
  • Enter requisitions for priority repairs to equipment as required.
  • Continuously take leadership actions to create a safe workplace culture by engaging direct reports in local safety meetings, safety action plans and safety report follow-up, data collection (observations, tallies, surveys), injury reports, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Continuously take leadership actions to apply standards of workmanship. Train and coach employees to documented work methods and conduct job instruction breakdown (JIB) observations to reinforce work methods and provide feedback to employees.
  • Follow Reliability and Maintenance roles and responsibilities and work scheduling to ensure machine reliability. Reinforce the importance of Work Order History capture. Responsible for continuous improvement of machine efficiency and work practices.
