Responsibilities

  • Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
  • Ensure all safety issues or concerns are addressed and understood
  • Perform a job safety review (risk analysis) prior to start activity
  • Check relevant conditions for doing the job – authorize and sign permits
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and quality repair for all site assets requiring maintenance support
  • Coordinates daily with maintenance planners and schedulers to plan and execute the sites maintenance strategies
  • Provide crew manpower availability to Scheduler each week
  • Collaborates daily with production to monitor and assign unscheduled break-in work to support the sites production capabilities
  • Supports Corporate Engineering and the execution of capital projects
  • Responsible for partnering with storeroom to validate and ensures adequate availability of rightly identified critical components
  • Effectively manages the daily maintenance execution work processes by assigning and reassigning planned and scheduled work order execution and Reinforce that any delays are reported as soon as possible
  • Supervises and control the daily work order management processes to prioritize work identification, work approval, planning, scheduling, executing, and closing out maintenance work orders
  • Understands maintenance department financials and efficiently manages resources to accomplish stated budgetary goals
  • Reviews and track daily the weekly maintenance schedule and the quality of the work execution
  • Supervises contractors and contractor work assignments in a way that maximizes completion of value-added work measured by associated KPI’s
  • Responsible for time management related to lost time for work orders and departmental overtime in a way that maximizes SI resources
  • Responsible for assisting Maintenance Manager with problem-solving and RCA processes that resolve reliability problems and reduce operational risks
  • Supervises the turnaround/shutdown process in a way that maximizes the value developed through effective preventative maintenance strategies
  • Adheres daily to established standard leader work processes per maintenance playbook including monitoring, measuring and auditing to ensure effective execution of defined daily standard work processes and growth
  • Adept at short interval controls (SIC’s) and driving quick wins to ensure accomplishment of performance goals
  • Rigorously monitors, analyzes and makes visually available for the team KPI progress towards department performance goals
  • Sets clear and concise performance goals aligned with the planning, performance management cycle (PPMC) for the overall team and each team member
  • Effective at performance coaching and guiding team to goal accomplishment
  • Ensure all personnel is properly trained to perform duties assigned
  • Satisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Practice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001
  • Drives LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence)
  • Grow a culture of continuous improvement (CI) by consistently embedding CI into meetings, trainings, processes, and systems
  • Ensures Maintenance work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; identifies and leverages Production best practices
  • Clarifies and constantly reinforces SI’s vision, mission, and values
  • Effectively models leadership through personal exhibition of SI’s Value-Based Behavioral Competencies
  • Accountable and responsible for recruiting, retaining, and developing high quality talent within department
  • Demonstrates strong personal awareness along with ability to influence and lead multiculturally
