About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor leads the maintenance and repair operations of our Charlotte facility. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Manufacturing Engineering Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of our manufacturing cells, ensuring all equipment and systems function at peak efficiency within a safe work environment. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of 10 direct reports—comprising six maintenance technicians and two maintenance leads—across both 1st and 2nd shifts. You will be a key driver of innovation and operational excellence, tasked with optimizing workflows, upholding rigorous quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a complex production environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of proven experience with maintenance leadership responsibilities within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLC and controls diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge in health and safety practices (OSHA/EPA) and industrial regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning.
  • 1+ year of experience using Maintenance Management Software.
  • Must be willing and available to work onsite in Charlotte, including on-call for weekends and evenings.

  • Professional credentials such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or specialized HVAC/Electrical certifications.
  • Advanced PLC programming experience.
  • Previous experience using E-Maintenance software.
  • Technical knowledge of building systems, including high-voltage electrical, industrial heating, and commercial plumbing.
  • Previous experience leading direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage external vendors/contractors.
  • Proficiency with computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities periodically to identify issues and necessary maintenance.
  • Manage TPM, PM, and Corrective Maintenance on all equipment in the shop.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to team members.
  • Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technicians.
  • Hire and oversee tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance (e.g., electricians, plumbers).
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Contribute to the development and management of the maintenance budget.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate projects such as renovations and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage PLC and controls systems within the factory.
