About The Position

This position will report to the Manager Plant Maintenance and is responsible for ensuring that plant equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner. The role models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles, including leadership behaviors grounded in the company's Mission and Values. The supervisor drives the engagement, development, and performance of their team, ensures compliance with organizational policies, and communicates maintenance plans and status across department lines. They serve as the technical expert, coach, and resource for plant maintenance partners, coordinating and overseeing the maintenance of manufacturing and distribution equipment. The role also focuses on creating a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring partner development and satisfaction, and providing timely performance feedback. The supervisor supports partners in presenting ideas for improving efficiency and productivity, operates within established budgets, forecasts, cost objectives, and service levels to control expenses, and supports the implementation of cost, quality, and service improvement initiatives. They also support all established plant and manufacturing goals and objectives, apprise their manager of team progress and any obstacles, and understand and follow established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures while actively working to prevent safety incidents. Collaboration with the plant safety committee to ensure best safety and maintenance practices are followed, and support for food safety, legality, and quality programs are also key responsibilities. This includes maintaining product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications, and quality procedures. Other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh Mission & Values may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School/GED or one to three years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
  • Supervision experience supporting maintenance or operations (3 years)
  • Automated manufacturing or distribution environment (5 years)
  • Team-building skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to provide technical leadership
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting methodology
  • Ability to coach and mentor others

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a technical field, mechanical, electrical, or engineering strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with BRC or SQF certification schemes
